WHAT’S BEEN LEFT OUT MATTERS.
Stigma keeps liver health conversations silent.
Not just around liver disease, but around what comes before it. Alcohol use. Mental health struggles with peers. Lifestyle patterns.
Issue 4 confronts that silence. Inside, you’ll learn how stigma delays awareness, why early signs are missed, and how understanding your body earlier can change everything.
Mind Your Liver. It Needs You.®
Liver risks aren’t rare. They’re just rarely talked about. From alcohol-associated liver disease to fatty liver, metabolic conditions, and liver damage linked to obesity, these risks are becoming more common, especially among young adults.

We equip young adults with the knowledge to understand liver health, recognize risks, and break the stigma around liver conditions.

Pushing for early detection, policy change, and public awareness to support those affected by liver conditions and drive real change.

A safe space for open conversations and support for those navigating liver health challenges, lifestyle-related conditions, and recovery.

We work to make liver health easier to understand by sharing trusted information, encouraging healthy choices, and helping people recognize the risks of liver disease early.

We’re here to make sure you have the knowledge, resources, and support to take charge of your well-being, without shame, without stigma, and without fear.
We have createdthe Early Signals Initiative, a structured education and awareness resource package created to help young adults recognize liver health risks earlier and feel supported in navigating care. The initiative is built to be used across clinical and community settings to support earlier understanding, conversation, and action.
Through patient friendly resources, visual education tools, and community based materials, we are bringing liver health education directly into clinical and community settings, starting with the Early Signals Initiative.
Mind Your Liver. It Needs You.®
The Early Signals Initiative strengthens early liver health awareness for young adults and provides frontline clinical teams with clear, accessible, and evidence informed educational tools that give young adults a clear and actionable picture of lifestyle related liver risks.
Cambridge Memorial Hospital’s Liver Health Clinic will be the first participating clinic to receive the Early Signals Resource Package. These materials highlight the connection between mental health factors, emotional distress, and coping habits that have been linked to behaviours that may contribute to liver damage, offering young adults information they can understand at a glance.
