Liver Awareness Foundation (LAF) promotes liver health education and alerts young people to possible liver conditions. We raise awareness of alcohol-associated liver disease and empower informed lifestyle choices to prevent liver problems. All through our founding principle: Mind Your Liver. It Needs You. ™
We alert young people to liver health, possible liver conditions, and the stigmas surrounding them, while raising awareness of alcohol-associated liver disease. Through lifestyle awareness, peer stories about alcohol use, support, and community involvement, we empower informed choices to prevent lifestyle-related liver conditions.
Promoting liver and lifestyle awareness, LAF provides a safe space for patients affected by ALD & other lifestyle-related liver problems. We offer peer-led support groups, guest speakers, and opportunities for community involvement, encouraging open discussions on lifestyle, mental health, and alcohol use while providing guidance and support for those with alcohol-associated liver disease.
Advocating for those affected by alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD) and other lifestyle-related liver conditions, we aim to work towards influencing public policy, promoting early detection, raising awareness about ALD, and educating young adults and raising community awareness on liver health.

MIND YOUR LIVER. IT NEEDS YOU. ™
Alcohol-associated liver disease is becoming increasingly prevalent among young people. We educate and raise awareness about alcohol-associated liver disease, addressing alcohol use disorder and providing guidance to those affected by ALD. We empower young adults with knowledge about liver health and the risks of liver disease, encouraging peer discussions on lifestyle-related liver issues and the challenges that come with them.
WHY WE’re HERE
Liver Awareness Foundation (LAF) is dedicated to educating and alerting young adults about lifestyle-related liver conditions, with a focus on alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). Our mission promotes liver health education, raises awareness, and advocates for early detection while supporting those affected by ALD. We are committed to challenging the stigma surrounding liver disease and advancing research to improve understanding and treatment options. By empowering young people to make informed lifestyle choices, we aim to reduce the prevalence of lifestyle-related liver disease and prevent deaths from alcohol-associated liver failure.
Our purpose is to empower young adults with essential knowledge about liver health and the lifestyle habits that can lead to liver conditions, including alcohol-associated liver disease (ALD). We provide support, resources, and guidance to those affected by ALD, and offer a supportive space for individuals facing alcohol use disorder, which often leads to liver disease. We work to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health challenges that contribute to harmful drinking habits and unhealthy lifestyles, encouraging mindful lifestyle choices, early detection, and informed, positive decisions.
Our vision is a society where young people are informed, proactive, and mindful of liver health, reducing the stigma associated with liver problems and empowering a world free of liver disease.
MIND YOUR LIVER. IT NEEDS YOU. ™
Metabolic-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD) is becoming increasingly common among young people. Unhealthy eating habits, sedentary lifestyles, and excessive alcohol intake all raise the risk of this condition. We’re here to educate youth about the serious impact of lifestyle habits on liver health. By empowering young adults with knowledge on healthy eating, regular physical activity, and responsible drinking, we can help prevent liver problems and support those affected.
As we gear up to make a positive impact, we invite you to join us on this new & exciting journey. Stay tuned for resources, support groups, workshop event dates, and engagement opportunities that empower our youth to prioritize their liver health. Join the movement and be the first to know when we launch!
